Ups and downs

What a wet, frustrating week! It seemed that all the real progress was made at the last minute. But what beautiful progress it was: frames for three of the bedroom walls went up.

Most of the week continued the water damage and contractor conflicts of last week. Doyle pulled an all nighter, placing buckets and mopping up new spots. Apparently the water got into the roof at the south end of the house and traveled along the topside of the ceiling to the low point 60 feet away, seeping down through between panels of sheetrock wherever possible. Three key crew member left the company, and the elevator shaft is still stalled, so the 3rd floor floor joists can't be completed.

Back on the bright side, Charlie has been incredibly well behaved, typically sleeping in a chair while the workers walk past him. But he snuck out into the 2nd floor construction zone a few times while we were focused on the leaks. Today he slipped past us onto the roof, and explored the area beneath the 3rd floor floor.
