A few days of sunshine

... and progress on the elevator shaft allowed the crew to finish the third floor floor and framing.

The big drama was when these 2 steel tubes arrived mysteriously and were welded and braced in place. They reach the top height of the elevator shaft - the building will rise up around them in the coming weeks. Despite how strong the crew is, the engineer insisted on full penetration welds to secure the elevator guide rails in place.

During the inevitable rainy periods, the crew took out the interior door leading to the garage, the storage closet in the garage, and part of the wall between the garage and the stairway to make room for the new stair.

In the garden, the unaccustomed sunshine encouraged the broccoli rabe and spinach to bolt, and provoked innumerable small green tomatoes. I'm researching recipes for fried green tomatoes to accompany the crew chief's "best Polish kielbasa" for the 5th of July.
